U.S. Refuses Entry to British Flight Passenger

British Airways Flight BA-175 carrying 239 passengers to New York was forced to return to London Wednesday after U.S. authorities determined that one of the passengers represented a Terror Threat! The plane was three hours into its journey when it was forced to turn back to London's Heathrow Airport, where the passenger was detained by police. U.S. Transportation Security Administration said the passenger was traveling on a French passport and was a positive match with an anti-terrorism watchlist. In Washington, a U.S. counterterrorism official, said there was concern about the passenger's affiliation with known terrorists, specifically with a cell that operated out of Morocco. The flight returned to Heathrow after we received a request from the U.S. authorities saying that a passenger aboard the aircraft was not to be allowed to land in New York. London's Metropolitan Police, who questioned the Terrorist, said later he had been Released Without Charge.
