Kerry Apologizes For YOU Misinterpreting Him

It took Sen. John Kerry nearly 26 hours, but he finally apologized today for any offense taken by members of the military or their families for a remark he made this week about getting 'stuck in Iraq.'The senator's contrite statement released shortly after 3 pm Central Time today is a far cry from the defiant statement he delivered at about 1:30 pm Central Time on Tuesday, complaining that Republicans were intentionally distorting his remarks and demanding an apology from them. All day long, Republicans have publicly called on Kerry to apologize to the troops. He offered a light-hearted apology early today about having "botched'' a joke that he intended to make about President Bush but this afternoon the senator's office released a humble apology to anyone who misinterpreted his negative remarks.
"I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted"
