Green Party Against Entering A Pre-Election Deal

Ireland's Green Party has voted overwhelmingly against entering a pre-election pact with other parties. At its annual convention in Cork, delegates have decided by a two-thirds majority to go it alone and contest the next election on its own policies. They say they will only open talks with Fine Gael and the other opposition parties after all the votes are counted. Paul Gogarty of the Greens said that his party is sick of being taken for granted by their potential partners.
