New Visas Allow Minnesota Family To Return

A Twin Cities family ordered back to their native Czech Republic returned to Minnesota Friday evening. Fifteen years ago, the Danacek family received a special visa to allow them to bring their son to the United States so doctors could treat his leukemia.

This past July, the family was told their visas were no longer valid because their son had recovered from his illness. The Danaceks then were told they had to return the Czech Republic, or be deported. Just last week, the U.S. Embassy in Prague grated them new visas. They were reunited with friends eager to welcome them back to Minnesota.
